Industrial Constructions

The philosophy of modern structural engineering in industrial construction seems to be "not the usual, but the do-able". We manage to keep up with these future-orientated demands because of our know-how. We are a competent partner in all areas of structural engineering. Structural design is seen as the basis of every industrial facility. It defines the spatial relationship of its inner workings and circulation, and ensures minimum weight combined with maximum strength. Thanks to our professional design principles and accurate calculations, you will receive - from both a technical and economic point of view - the best possible structural designs which comply to all safety standards and statutory requirements.

Industrial Construction and Design covers the following range of services:

  • Feasibility and other studies
  • Basic and detailed engineering
  • Engineering approvals and permissions
  • Fire safety permits, certificates and approvals in compliance with the relevant regulations (IndBauRL [Fire Safety Regulations for Industrial Buildings] and LBO [Landesbauordnung, state building regulations])
  • Permissions in terms of the WHG [Wasserhaushaltsgesetzes, Water Management Act], the TRbF [Technische Regeln brennbarer Flüssigkeiten, Technical Regulations for Combustible Liquids], and the VAwS [Verordnung über Anlagen zum Umgang mit wassergefährdenden Stoffen, Ordinance governing Industrial Plants handling Substances Hazardous to Water]
  • Technical monitoring and construction management
  • Schedule and cost management

The individual jobs arise from the overall process which has to be achieved with the facility under given constraints. Industrial buildings such as factories, warehouses, and materials and utilities processing plants, but also office and recreational buildings, have to be structured and constructed in the most efficient and economic way that is possible.

Structural Engineering Constructions

Our focus is always on the treatment of solutions for the constructive optimization of a building in consideration of the construction progress and possible technologies. We have understood, that an optimized building structure, consisting of economic building materials and components, has an essential influence on the sustainability and the cost efficiency of the overall construction. This is our guiding principle.

We offer the following range of services in context with the work stages of HOAI [Honorarordnung für Architekten und Ingenieure, Official Scale of Fees for Services by Architects and Engineers]:

  • Feasibility studies
  • Economic feasibility studies
  • Development and Implementation of innovative technologies
  • Potential analyses
  • Current state analyses
  • On-site investigations
  • Final measurements
  • Alternative concepts
  • Life cycle analyses

Civil Engineering Structures

In structural engineering, the form determines the support function. We pay particular attention to the interplay of the structure with geology and hydrology. By considering the building site and excavation material, drafts are drawn up that provide the best solutions technically and economically and that guarantee the safe deflection of all dynamic forces in the building site subsoil. In addition to the classic construction materials of steel, reinforced concrete and pre-stressed concrete, the ground itself is an element of support, the quality of which also has to be determined and verified. This is the only way to ensure a safe load distribution.

Civil engineering architecture brings together the particular demands of structural design and architectural composition in civil engineering works. this often involves resolving the conflicts which arise between the basic elements of earth, air, fire (temperature) and water. For this reason intense dialogue with experts from the fields of geology, hydrology or even meteorology is often essential when dealing with civil engineering works.
