A construction fence has been pointing to the future construction project for months. The gutting and parts of the conversion areas have already been demolished. Now the crane is ready to start the shell work.
Together with the architects from HPP, the engineers of the BEHR INGENIEURE GmbH are planning the conversion.
The listed property has three fronts: Grimmaische Straße, Nikolaistraße and Nikolaikirchhof. It was built from 1975-1983 as a new building for the district pharmacy. The present plan provides for a use for modern retail, catering and a hotel on the upper floors with a total area of 5,000 m².
For this conversion major interventions in the supporting structure are necessary. For sections, a completely new structure is created.
